Every Friday evening we have a community get-together at the store with gospel, bluegrass & old country music by the Back Porch Pickers - free! Our Hernando county library is open 4 hours a week at the back of our community center. The bike trail is just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Withlacoochee River. We have two family parks in Istachatta!  

AUGUST 5TH, 2007 WAS THE ISTACHATTA CHURCH OF CHRIST's 100TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY HOMECOMING, with special guest speakers, great singing and food for everyone!
